Alverton Hotel Wedding - Nikki & Nathan

19th September, 2016Khalile and Tamsyn were amazing from start to finish on our wedding day. They were so professional but made us feel so comfortable at the same time. They were a massive part of our day and our day wouldn’t have been as perfect if it wasn’t for them.
Our day started with Tamsyn my beautiful wife and second shooter doing Nikki and her mums makeup which has become the norm with our weddings, as our brides LOVE the fact that Tamsyn is around all day to do makeup freshen ups and a change of look for the evening too. Our next door neighbour Sarah Louise who not only indirectly got us into shooting weddings (Thanks Sarah) but also has one of the longest running hair and beauty salons in Truro was also their doing the girls hair. Nikki bought her Maggie Sottero dress from Amanda K in Truro and commissioned Rosewood in Lemon Street Market Truro to do the flowers.
It was lovely going back to Treleigh Church for the ceremony as not only was it our third wedding there but the new vicar used to be the school, so it was lovely to see Casper again :0)
As a lovely surprise Nathan's team members from his Fire engine appliance came to form a guard of honour for their comrade on his wedding day. Don't worry, the church was only round the corner from the station and was permanently on standby, so we were relieved to see them still outside at the end of the ceremony.
On route from the church in Redruth we stopped off for a few photos of just the two of them before we arrived at The Alverton for canapés, group photos and a couple more couple shots while the guests were sitting for the wedding breakfast.
Anyone who hasn't eaten at The Alverton really should, whether you're getting married, staying at the hotel or just want a good feed, do try it you won't be disappointed! Anyway back to Nikki and Nathan, we were treated to three really great speeches which caused the shedding of a few tears with absent and very nearly absent friends as well as more than a few funny stories.
After the wedding breakfast Tams took Nikki upstairs to the beautiful and spacious bridal suite to change Nikki's makeup, so after giving them a ten minute head start Nathan and I headed up to join them and got these.
We weren't gone long but by the time we got back it was time for the first dance.
And just to finish off Nikki and Nathan requested a shot replicating a photo I did two years ago at the hotel for Laura and Matt.
