Pendennis Castle Wedding - Zara & Curtis

Zara and Curtis decided to book us for their Pendennis Castle Wedding after meeting me at one of the castles wedding open days where they insist their preferred suppliers to exhibit to the booked and prospective clients. I remember the meeting vividly, Zara and Curtis were with Zara's parents, and after talking with me for about half an hour went away, came back after five minutes and said that they wanted to book. Obviously I was REALLY pleased, they went away and came back in another five minutes with the booking fee (I do like decisive people!!!)!

Our day started with meeting the boys where they were staying at the Tremough Campus in Penryn, part of the Falmouth University, where Curtis and Zara actually first met while they were both studying there. Despite being from Kent, the couple both fell in love with the county and Falmouth, and so there really was only one place they wanted to get married and that was at Pendennis Castle.

On arrival we met with Curtis and his four groomsmen getting ready in the student accommodation. I didn't realise but in the summer the university rents the rooms out as holiday accommodation. Once in their suits we headed to The Italian Garden on campus, one of Zara and Curtis' favourite places full of memories to get a few shots of the boys all dressed up.

Before I knew it, it was time to leave Tamsyn with the boys and head to a cottage on site at the castle where Zara was getting ready with her Mum, waiting patiently for her NINE bridesmaids to arrive. Zara bought her beautiful bridal gown from Belissima Weddings which was a bit closer to home. Had her hair done by the wonderful Number 8 Hairdressing and for her makeup she had her friend Elizabeth Fiona Smith.

Out of the choice of 12:30pm and 4:30pm Zara & Curtis chose the 4:30pm option of getting married at the castle, which gave them the run of the whole castle after the grounds were shut to the public.....BRILLIANT, lots of playtime :0)

Zara chose Tracey Q to fulfil their floral needs, which she did beautifully, and only enhanced the enchanting ceremony that took place in the subtly lit inner chamber of the castle.

After drinks on the lawn we took the bridal party upstair for some playful photos before taking our happy couple on the roof for a few shots and then out the front of the castle for a few photos and to experience the big 'Long Tom' canon going off to announce dinner was served in the main barrack block in a room enhanced by the chair covers provided by Simply Lovely Chair Covers and a beautiful 'Naked' cake made by Sophisticakes in Falmouth.

After the wedding breakfast Zara and Curtis requested to go down to Little Dennis to get some couple shot by the sea.

Before we knew it, it was time to head back to the castle for the first dance and evening rivalry

Dearest Zara and Curtis, Tamsyn and I LOVED shooting your wedding and wish you a very long, happy and healthy life together!!
