Knightor Winery Wedding - Donna & Nigel

27th June, 2017

Thank you once again for everything you did to make our day perfect. You were everything we expected and more, and we could not recommend you enough!

Donna and Nigel booked us for their Knightor Wedding photography a year ago and boy did the year come around fast!

My day started with meeting the girls at Donna's parents where they were all getting ready, and it was a sea of calm on arrival, which couldn't be said for the boys. Unfortunately all the gents suits didn't arrive until 7:50am the morning of the wedding, not ideal for a relaxed start to the day. But then if something had to go wrong on the day then at least that was as bad as it got.

But as I say the girl were nice and calm, and were being tended to by the lovely Lisa Gadsby who was doing their hair when I arrived.

And girls, can I just say, its well worth keeping your dress as a surprise from your dads before the wedding day as I just love the reaction it can have, like it did on Alan, Donna's dad.

When I woke in the morning there was an un-forecast drizzle right across the county, but as we were leaving for Knightor the sun was fighting hard to break through the clouds, but the weather kept us on our toes right until the last second, with a slight drizzle still trying to dampen things just as Donna was due to walk down the aisle. But the show went on, as Donna had REALLY set her heart on having the ceremony under the rustic arbor by the lake at Knightor, and then the sun came out (Briefly).

It was a beautiful ceremony, full of laughter and high spirits.

Donna & Nigel booked this beautiful string trio called 'Classical Strings' who did a wonderful mix of classical music but also contemporary tune which I loved, it really set the tone of the day especially while we were doing the group photos and having drinks by the arbor.

The wedding breakfast took place within the main barn and Donna and Nigel used the names of places that they'd travels to for their wedding breakfast.

After a wedding breakfast fit for a king we took Donna and Nigel down to their local harbour, Charlestown for a few photos.

Before getting a few around the grounds back at Knightor Winery.

Right at the end of the day just before we were leaving the sun decided to make an appearance in the sky, I was desperately looking for a location on the site where I could get a couple sunset shot when one of the guests saw me searching and laughed, saying that she'd got married there a year of two back and that I wouldn't find anywhere, with the location being set too low. WELL I never shy away from a challenge!

Dearest Donna and Nigel, thank you SO much for asking us to be part of your big day, we loved every minute of it!

Love Kx
